Peter Obi Reveals Purpose of Visit to Babangida in Minna

Peter Obi discloses the reason behind his visit to former Nigerian military leader Ibrahim Babangida in Minna, shedding light on their discussions about national issues and progress.

On Thursday, Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, visited retired General Ibrahim Babangida, former Head of State, at his home in Minna, Niger State.

Obi, a candidate in the 2023 presidential election, stated that the purpose of the visit was to discuss national issues and share views with the elder statesman.

“Obi shared on his X account Thursday that he traveled from Jigawa State to Minna, Niger State, where he visited a father figure and elder statesman, the former military president General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida at his residence. He also posted photos from the visit.”

He went on to explain that the visit provided an opportunity to offer New Year wishes and seek wisdom from the former leader.

“General Babangida’s insights and perspectives are invaluable, and I am always grateful for the opportunity to meet with him and hear his wise advice,” Obi remarked.
