Peter Obi, just like Atiku, revisits the school where he studied
Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate in the most recent general elections, joined Christ the King College in Onitsha to celebrate its 90th Founders Day, barely four days after former Vice President Atiku Abubakar returned to Central Primary School, Jada, where he first enrolled in 1954.
In a message published on Sunday, November 26, the former governor of Anambra State revealed this, saying that the college has proven to be a model of self-control, knowledge, moral rectitude, and unshakable dedication to excellence.
“From its inception, the College has produced several bishops, both catholic and Anglican; four justices of the supreme court and other judges; three governors; many esteemed senior advocates of Nigeria and legal luminaries; esteemed academicians, captains of industries, and many men of high value in society,” stated Obi in a tweet.
“I want to sincerely thank Christ The King College’s founding fathers, innovative instructors, past and present school administrators, and everyone else who has devoted their time to the admirable goal of education over the years.
“The College is now on a course towards continual expansion, academic excellence, and moral uprightness thanks to their unwavering efforts.
“I took use of this wonderful occasion to inspire the College’s faculty, staff, and students to keep pursuing academic achievement and moral growth.
“To all Nigerians, I also urge us to keep making education a top priority since it is still vital to the country’s progress and will enable us to create the New Nigeria of our dreams. This is the country of opportunity.
According to OBASANJONEWS24, Atiku, the People’s Democratic Party’s presidential contender for 2023, gave scholarships to underprivileged students at Jada Primary School while on a visit.
In a statement provided the media, Atiku’s Special Assistant for Broadcast Media, AbdulRasheed Shehu, stated that the visit was a part of celebrations for his 77th birthday.
Recall that in the election petitions contesting President Bola Tinubu’s win in the vote, both Atiku and Obi had questioned the latter’s academic credentials.
