Peter Obi addresses rumors, stating that Kenneth Okonkwo is not a mole and explaining their single disagreement.

Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential nominee for the 2023 general elections, has responded to Kenneth Okonkwo’s departure from both the party and Obidient Movement.

On Sunday, Okonkwo, formerly the spokesperson for the Labour Party’s presidential campaign during the 2023 general election, declared his departure from both the party and Obidient movement.

Okonkwo, in a letter he posted on social media, attributed most of the responsibility for managing the party’s turmoil to Peter Obi.

On Monday, DAILY POST was informed by Yunusa Tanko, spokesperson for Peter Obi that he had contacted the former Governor of Anambra State to gather his response regarding Okonkwo’s ruling.

He relayed that Obi informed him how Okonkwo is not to be regarded as a spy within the Obedient clan, but rather, he’s considered an esteemed sibling.

After Kenneth Okonkwo, the ex-spokesperson of Peter Obi’s Presidential Campaign Organization in 2023 election declared his departure from both Labour Party and Obidients, I reached out to our campaign chief spokesperson for a statement by contacting Mr. Obi himself.

During our struggle, Okonkwo played his role diligently and he sees him as a younger brother; therefore, when he informed me about feeling sad regarding the development it did not come as a surprise.

In brief, Obi informed me that it would be inaccurate to label Okonkwo as a mole within our family given his past and present efforts towards achieving the vision of an achievable new Nigeria.

Obi gave me permission to share his perspective on Okonkwo with the public, explaining that it was important for people to understand that our differences were not rooted in personal animosity but rather stemmed from divergent styles and methods of problem-solving.
