The Labour Party’s presidential candidate for the 2023 elections, Peter Obi, has emphasized his focus on Nigeria’s current success rather than the future.
This statement comes in response to speculations on social media suggesting that he may choose Nasir El-Rufai, the former governor of Kaduna State, as his running mate in the 2027 polls.
During a conversation with journalists in Gombe State, Obi clarified that he is not looking too far ahead and is instead prioritizing the present.
