Peter Obi avoids involvement in religious politics- Media Aide
Dr. Yunusa Tanko, the spokesperson for Mr. Peter Obi, has refuted claims suggesting that the 2023 Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party (LP) is engaging in religious politics.
Tanko conveyed this message in a statement released to the press on Friday in Onitsha, Anambra.
Tanko, representing the Peter Obi Media Reach (POMR), highlighted a recent attempt to tarnish Peter Obi’s image by associating him with baseless accusations of religious political involvement.

He pointed out that certain individuals, purportedly from civil society and non-governmental organizations, are working on behalf of influential political figures to falsely accuse Obi of religious politicking.
Tanko emphasized that these allegations are aimed at undermining Obi’s genuine intentions of supporting disadvantaged Nigerians of all religious backgrounds, suggesting that the accusations are a deliberate attempt to mislead the public.
Tanko stressed that Peter Obi’s commitment to assisting the underprivileged transcends political motives and has been a consistent part of his life, even before his involvement in politics.
