Jose Peseiro, the head coach of Nigeria, has refuted rumours that he has applied to be the coach of Zamalek SC in Egypt.
The 63-year-old reportedly sent his resume to the Zamalek administration in order to be considered for the open coaching position.

But according to Peseiro, his priorities are the Super Eagles position.
The Portuguese told btolat.com, “Right now, I’m just focused on the Nigerian national team.”
“In any case, there are no negotiations from Zamalek, and I have no other thoughts.”
Peseiro and the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) agreed on a contract renewal.
Due to the Super Eagles’ dismal 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification campaign, he is under criticism.
After the Super Eagles’ first two games against Lesotho and Zimbabwe ended in draws, there have been recurrent calls for his dismissal.
