PEPT: Reno Omokri: If Obi had prevailed, there would have been war
According to Reno Omokri, a senior media advisor to former president Goodluck Jonathan, Nigeria would have entered a second civil war if the Presidential Election Petition Court’s ruling had backed Peter Obi of the Labour Party.
According to OBASANJO NEWS24, the Presidential Election Petition Court ruled yesterday that President Bola Tinubu was not found guilty in the United States and that he did not require a majority of votes in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) to be declared president, contrary to the claims made in the petitions filed by the Labour Party and its presidential candidate, Peter Obi.
Omokri expressed his appreciation for the decision via his X page, emphasising that if Obi’s petitions had been granted, Nigeria would have been plunged into a civil war.
He declared, “There would have been a civil war in Nigeria if Peter Obi had won the #NigerianElections2023 or at the Presidential Election Petition Court. not might. Would. Why? Because he and his Obidients were simply too conceited, they were already reenacting the occasions that gave rise to the Nigerian Civil War, and they would have done so further.
He asserted that Obi’s backers “were more fascistic than Mussolini” and that “after Peter Obi lost, prominent Obidients with direct ties to Peter Obi were openly calling for a military coup to restore Obi’s mandate.”
