PDP will recover- George Bode promises
Bode George, one of the leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), is optimistic about the party’s recovery.
George challenged PDP members to remain strong, vowing to see to it that the party returns to its heyday.
After selecting Ifeanyi Okowa, a former governor of Delta State, as his running mate for the 2023 presidential election, Atiku Abubakar, the PDP’s presidential candidate, developed cracks.

The recent governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, was prompted by Atiku’s decision to demand the resignation of Senator Iyorchia Ayu, the former national chairman of the party, from the G-5 governors and other party leaders.
Ayu and Atiku were both from the north, therefore their argument for Ayu’s removal was to create a “regional balance.”
In spite of this, George promised to make steps to advance PDP.
George gave an assurance to the PDP general assembly in Lagos that they would not be allowed to go extinct, regardless of what transpired in the previous general elections.
I implore everyone who has shown loyalty to hold tight; together, we can restore the party to its former splendour.
In due order, he promised, the party’s national leadership must perform a “thorough post-mortem to resolve all issues that affected the party.”
