Rabiu Kwankwaso, who is running for president as a candidate for the NNPP, has said that the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) are dead political parties that have nothing more to offer the country.

Kwankwaso went to Ado-Ekiti as part of his campaign tour through the Southwest of the country. He was trying to get votes for the general elections in February 2023.

During a speech at the palace, Oba Rufus Adeyemo Adejugbe, the Ewi of Ado-Ekiti, said that both parties were bad for the country because of bad leadership and the economy.

The former governor of Kano State recalled the successes his administration had attained while he was in office and claimed that, if elected in 2023, these accomplishments will make life more bountiful for all Nigerian residents.

“APC and PDP are dead, they are done, and with God’s will, it will be our party that wins the presidential election next year.” “We are present in the North, and we will prevail at the polls.”

“The reason I’m unique among all presidential candidates is that I go around the nation on highways, not just to state capitals and local government areas, which gives me first-hand knowledge of how and where our people live.”

“The talakawa (masses), voters, and good people of this nation who believe in us are the foundation of the NNPP.” The APC and the PDP are well known in Nigeria, and both have failed. The two political parties are aware of their own failures. They can only hope to succeed by purchasing votes.

The PDP has been hurt in the Southeast by the emergence of some political parties; we have caged the PDP in the North; even in the South, they are no longer popular due to the presidential primary contest; and the APC has failed the citizens, so no right-thinking Nigerian will want the status quo to continue, meaning this terrible situation will continue. If the election were to take place today, the NNPP would have a better chance of winning.

In 1999, I was a founding member of the PDP and APC.Unfortunately, these two political parties brought Nigeria to a standstill or performed even worse than before. For this reason, we founded the NNPP as a legitimate alternative to these two political parties. We desire a new Nigeria. Therefore, I’m thrilled that we have the NNPP and that everyone in Nigeria—especially those who are trying to make a living, the masses, women, and young men—are flocking to it.

He added that the country’s security, economy, and educational systems have all been impacted by the nation’s crumbling road system, which is why he decided to run for office again in an effort to improve things in the nation.

The roads are a reflection of what is happening in other sectors of transportation, like railways, waterways, and even the aviation industry, and when they are put together, they are also a reflection of what is happening in this country in terms of the economy, insecurity, education, and so on, and all these put together tell the same story about us. The road from here to Ado-Ekiti, Osogbo to Abeokuta, and here to Akure is in disrepair. He spoke
