PDP vs Wike: Disciplinary Committee Member Denies Summon Controversy
A member of the PDP disciplinary committee has debunked the controversy surrounding the alleged summons of Nyesom Wike, clarifying the situation amidst ongoing party tensions.
Senator Olaka Nwogu, who is a member of the Disciplinary Committee for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), refuted rumors that FCT Minister Nyesom Wike had been summoned by his party in relation to accusations of anti-party actions and an ongoing dispute with Rivers Governor Siminialayi Fubara.
Nwogu stated that the committee has yet to meet and deliberate on any issues pertaining to Wike.
Nwogu, a former senator who represented Rivers South East Senatorial District, pointed out that the dissemination of false information can be attributed to people with their own personal interests when discussing this matter.
As a member of the party’s disciplinary committee, I was troubled to hear that Nyesom Wike had been summoned before any evaluation had taken place on these matters. This is according to his explanation.
He emphasized that the committee’s work had been subjected to circulating false claims.
Nwogu reassured the public that the committee is currently organizing itself to carry out its duties and responsibilities effectively.
