It was mentioned by Hwande that this action was taken due to Ortom endorsing and supporting Labor Party candidate for 2023 elections along with making public entreaties to Benue PDP members over voting in favor of APC during the forthcoming Presidential election scheduled in 2027.
Furthermore, Azua Ashongo, who served as the Vice Chairman of Zone A for the political party, was subjected to suspension on account of gross insubordination and indiscipline.
Additionally, Hwande clarified that Mffor and Iortyom’s suspensions were associated with their purported participation in seizing Congress materials assigned for ward congresses hosted last Saturday within Buruku and Ushongo local government areas.
The PDP’s decision highlights their dedication to preserving unity and orderliness among members while maneuvering the political terrain in Benue State.
