The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is presently convening in a private meeting at the party’s national headquarters in Abuja.

The meeting, led by National Chairman Ambassador Umar Damagum, takes place just days after the Supreme Court rejected a motion for a stay of execution on a High Court ruling that ousted Senator Samuel Anyanwu from his position as the party’s National Secretary and appointed Sunday Udeh-Okoye in his place.

This marks the first NWC meeting following the court ruling, and it is anticipated to tackle important internal matters, such as leadership transition and future party strategy.
