PDP names caretaker committees and dissolves state excos in Rivers, Bauchi, and other states.
The State Executive Committees in certain states and the Federal Capital Territory have been dissolved by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Instead, the party has chosen to appoint caretaker committees to oversee operations at the Ward, Local Government, and State levels in the affected areas.
This decision was communicated through a statement issued by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, in Abuja on Friday.
The National Working Committee (NWC) of the PDP, acting on behalf of the National Executive Committee (NEC), approved the appointment of caretaker committees in states, local governments, and wards where the tenures of the previous executives had expired.
The caretaker committees are tasked with managing the party’s activities at their respective levels for a period of three months, with specific effective dates outlined for each region.
