PDP Members in Abia Pass Vote of No Confidence on Ward Executives
A unanimous vote of no confidence has been passed by leaders and stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ovungwu Ward 8 in the Isiala Ngwa South Local Government Area of Abia State against Ifeanyi Isikaku, the former executive chairman of the local council, and the members of the Ward Executive Committee for their anti-party activities and dereliction of duty.
They asserted that the concerned parties’ recent actions had breached the party constitution and issued a warning, requesting that they cease presenting themselves as Ovungwu Ward 8 executives and leaders and cease holding unlawful meetings as they are no longer PDP members in the ward.
Following an extended party meeting, a statement issued by leaders and stakeholders from Ovungwu Ward in Isiala Ngwa South LGA stated that a disciplinary committee has been established to look into the charges further.
