At the Edo House of Assembly elections held on March 18, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) won 12 seats out of the 19 constituency seats that have been officially proclaimed.
The Edo House of Assembly has 24 seats.
Five further constituencies’ results—Egor, Etsako I, Etsako II, Oredo East, and Ovia Southwest—have not yet been made public.
The Labour Party (LP) has so far won one seat, while the All Progressives Congress (APC) has so far won six seats.
In the meanwhile, Mr. Marcus Onobun, Speaker of the Edo House of Assembly and PDP candidate, won the rescheduled elections in the federal constituencies of Esan West, Esan Central, and Igueben.

Mr. Obo Efanga, the Resident Electoral Commissioner for INEC in Edo, stated: “We have an election for the Esan Central/Esan West/Igueben Federal Constituency, but we were unable to hold it on February 25 with the other elections.
19 of the 24 state assembly seats have had declarations made; the remaining five constituencies have not yet provided information.
The PDP prevailed in the results so far announced in Akoko Edo I, Akoko Edo II, Esan Central, Esan North East II, Esan South East, and Igueben.
Also, it triumphed in Owan West, Uhunmwonde, Ovia North East I, Ovia North East II, Ovia North East I, and Ikpoba-Okha.
Although the LP triumphed in Oredo West, the APC triumphed in Esan North East I, Esan West, Etsako Central, Etsako East, Orhiomwon I, and Owan East.
