An important meeting between the five governors of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who oppose Iyorchia Ayu, the party’s national chairman, is scheduled to take place in Enugu.
The governors, which also included Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia, Seyi Makinde of Oyo, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu, Samuel Ortom of Benue, and Nyesom Wike of Rivers, recently gathered in the coal city to discuss the party turmoil.
According to PlatinumPost, the G5’s efforts to make amends with PDP presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar before the general elections in 2023 may be related to the new Enugu meeting.
Benue State Governor Ortom has already arrived in Enugu for the meeting, and more people are anticipated to follow.
