PDP Crisis: According to Wike, You Want to Deal With Me But You Can’t Win the Election
Atiku’s campaign, led by Aminu Tambuwal, director general, promised to “investigate legal avenues to bring any of its erring members to book.”
In response to threats made by several politicians who purportedly pledged to work with him if he won the upcoming presidential election, Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has dismissed the claims.
The warning that the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) presidential campaign organisation gave to the governor of Rivers and four other party members last month may not be unrelated to Wike’s remarks.
After Atiku Abubakar, a former vice president, won the May 2022 presidential primary, the governors, often known as the G5 or Integrity Group, split.
Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State, the campaign’s director general, later responded to this by stating that the party would “seek legal ways to bring any of its erring members to book.”

However, Wike claimed that his “political crime” in the eyes of his critics appears to be his insistence on the practise of equity, fairness, and justice within the party, which they view as an impossible requirement to meet.
The Rivers State PDP Campaign Council’s campaign flag-off rally was held on Wednesday at Community Secondary School 1 in Mogho Town, where the governor addressed the local government area (LGA).
Wike referred to such threats as absurd in a statement from the governor’s special assistant on media for the governor of Rivers State, Kelvin Ebiri.
He claims that people who are threatening him will never succeed in the election and won’t get the chance to carry out their purported plan.
The majority of you have seen the video on YouTube where they claimed to deal with me after winning. You can’t succeed. You are threatening to deal with some people, but you have not won. “Will God permit you?” he questioned.
Since he believes it is the best method to promote inclusivity in the PDP, Wike insisted that he is a staunch supporter of the equality, fairness, and justice principles.
“They haven’t even been born, and they are all plotting and saying they will deal with us.” He said, “I challenge them to attempt it.”
The governor urged the people of Gokana to be proud of their heritage and their status as citizens of Rivers State and added that no one could ever scare the state because it would never take second place in Nigeria.
Additionally, he suggested that people obtain their permanent voter cards (PVCs), which will be used to “punish Rivers State haters.”
