The Ogun State Election Petition Tribunal has been warned not to be compromised by the All Progressives Congress (APC), according to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The PDP issued this caution after submitting its petition to contest the APC’s win in the March 18 gubernatorial election.

Ladi Adebutu, the PDP candidate, presented his case to the electoral tribunal on Friday, according to Obasanjonews24, requesting that it proclaim him the election’s victor.

Adebutu, however, was advised not to “intimidate or stampede the tribunal with his immoral and unethical boasts as if the Honourable Justices are pliable and or in his pockets” by the Ogun APC when he went to file the petition, according to a statement by the party’s publicity secretary, Tunde Oladunjoye.

Oladunjoye requested that Adebutu’s attorneys be capable enough to warn him away from “this ignoble attitude, knowing full well that a case is settled by the applicable laws, facts, and evidence and not based on the imaginations, whims, and caprices of any of the parties, no matter how reasonable.”

“They should expect our answer,” Oladunjoye said of Adebutu and the PDP.

Akinloye Bankole, the PDP’s Ogun spokesman, responded by stating that Tudde Oladunjoye was unable to provide us advice regarding the manner in which we should present our plea to the tribunal. In actuality, they ought to use their shabby routes well away from the court. There cannot be any contamination or compromise of the tribunal.
