Richard Tallen, the sole son of Pauline Tallen, who served as the former Minister of Women Affairs, has passed away.
In a statement released by the family on Sunday, it was confirmed that Richard passed away earlier that morning at Cedar Crest Hospital in Abuja, where he had been undergoing treatment.
He was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) on Friday night and put on oxygen support, but the exact cause of death has not yet been revealed.
His alma mater, the Vom Old Boys’ Association (VOBA), also confirmed the news and shared a tribute on their social media platform.

“May Richard’s soul, along with those of all departed VOBA members, rest in peace. Amen,” the association expressed in a Facebook post on Sunday afternoon.
Richard, aged 42, earned a degree in Computer Science from an American university. He is survived by his wife and three children. The family will announce the funeral arrangements at a later date.
