Veteran actress Patience Ozokwor claims that her kids gave up a lot for her career.
She acknowledged this in a thank-you message on Instagram.
Recall that the actress earned the Industry Merit Award at the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards on Saturday.
Since social media didn’t exist when Mama G, as she is affectionately called, started her acting career, she claims that she relied on her skills, humility, word of mouth, and trust.
She added, “LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD “When we first entered the profession, there was no social media and many other amenities we take for granted today. Your ability, humility, word-of-mouth, and trust were absolutely necessary for progress.I value the hard work of my coworkers, who frequently go unappreciated.
“I am grateful for my family, who have always surrounding me with love and acceptance. My children made many sacrifices and were motherless for extended periods of time.
She continued by saying that her daughter eventually rose to the positions of associate manager and personal assistant.
