Dame Patience Jonathan, a former first lady, has vowed to help Senator Oluremi Tinubu, the president’s wife, advance the nation and has urged other women to do the same.

During a show of support for the first lady on Wednesday at the presidential palace in Abuja, Mrs. Jonathan gave her the assurance.

She commended the first lady for the significant influence she has had on the lives of Nigerian women.

As the wife of a former president, she argued that it was crucial for her to support and uplift Mrs. Tinubu in her efforts to advance the country.

Jonathan thanked women’s organisations for their support of President Bola Tinubu and his wife and begged with them to continue supporting the administration so that the nation’s patriotic efforts may continue.

“You are one of the women I look forward to seeing because you can make Nigerian women proud; I’m here to support and encourage you because we are one nation and our nation needs to advance.

“24 hours, I’m with you. Call me any time, any day. I’ll work with you to make this country better and go forward because it’s our country and we have nowhere else to go.
