Pastor Taiwo Odukoya, founding pastor of The Fountain of Life Church, passed away, which was characterised as a startling shock by Dr. Joe Okei-Odumakin, president of Women Arise and Centre for Change.
This information was provided on Tuesday in Lagos by Okei-Odumakin in a message of condolence headlined, “Pastor Taiwo Odukoya: So long.”
The dead was Pastor Bimbo Odukoya’s husband, according to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), who passed away in a plane disaster in December 2005.
Odukoya, 67, passed away in the USA on Monday, the church reported in a news release.
“Lord, you have our whole submission! We praise the Lord for giving us such a gifted leader!!” the tweet read.
When Okei-Odumakin reacted, he replied, “Only men with the conviction of the “real call” yield the resource of life to labour in the Vineyard.
As with the passing of great men, it comes as a startling shock.
The late cleric was also referred to as a “End Time General” by the human rights campaigner, who said that despite his enormous losses and personal ups and downs, he nevertheless managed to guide the flock to Christ’s feet.
She claimed that as an end-time General, he attained great fame.
“This is unquestionably a loss for the planet but a big win for the stars. A good night and until the resurrection.
Pastor Nomthi, a South African, and the late Odukoya had remarried in January 2010; but, in 2021, they both died of cancer.
