According to Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), he will pass away on a Sunday “after a good meal of pounded yam.”
According to OBASANJONEWS24, the priest made this revelation on Day 3 of the church’s ongoing RCCG Holy Ghost Congress at the Redemption Camp in Ogun State.
“I know someone will ask how we are going to die and get to heaven if we never get sick,” he remarked. Being ill is not a prerequisite for entering heaven.
On Thanksgiving Sunday, my uncle got up, went to church, and danced along with everyone else. When he got home, his wife gave him a simple breakfast before making the traditional dish, which consisted of mashed yam. When my uncle decided to use the loo, she had already begun to pound the yam.
“After she had stopped hitting, she knocked on the toilet door; when they opened it, my uncle had vanished, leaving no trace of illness, anguish, or pain. I’ll go on Sunday after a satisfying dinner of mashed yam, if the Lord delays His coming.”
