Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the general overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, claims that despite being 81 years old, he has never experienced blood pressure problems.
Adeboye claimed that this was because, while managing churches in various countries throughout the world, he made the decision to lay all of his cares upon God and to rest in Him.
Adeboye acknowledged that there are certain difficulties, but said that he has never lost sleep since he is aware that he cannot be everywhere at once.
Adeboye stated in his sermon at Friday’s Morning Devotion that he rests because he believes God will handle all of the problems.
By God’s grace, I am 81 years old, and thanks to Him, I am able to oversee churches in many different countries. I’ve always had normal blood pressure.
“(They’ll call to say) The missionary in Cambodia has been detained because they thought the church we purchased was overly lovely; where did we obtain the money to purchase it? They will claim that the pastor in Ethiopia is suffering from a headache as a result of the recent dedication of a new building, and that it is now appropriate for you Nigerians to depart.
“They’ll phone and tell that some individuals in Libya came to assault because they learned that we had recently purchased new equipment for the church.
Reports are surfacing everywhere, but am I going to lose sleep? I am aware that while I am in Israel, I cannot be in Cambodia. I am not able to be in two places at once.
But there is someone who is constantly present everywhere. I rest because I believe He will take care of everything. Rest is something you need for both your body and soul. Trust him; He is the one who promises that “it will be well with the righteous.” If Christ is in you, you cannot become ashamed, Adeboye remarked.
The man of God spoke on Psalm 18:1-3 and emphasized the necessity for spiritual and bodily rest, adding that God can take care of people who rest in Him.
He urged Christians to live a “married to Jesus” lifestyle and remain in the boundaries of His city because this is when they might experience spiritual tranquility.
“Jesus and you are married when you are a Christian. You are encircled by a wall of flames. Anyone who tries to touch you from the outside will be burned.
“You will be burned if you dare leave the city of the fire wall. You can be assured that if you choose to remain in the boundaries of that city, you are aware of the identity of your savior and healer.
“When you obey your ‘husband,’ you will be able to rest because anyone who tries to oppose you will be smitten in front of you. He proclaimed, “You don’t have to fight to win.
