Passengers are successfully rescued by troops during operation

According to the Nigerian Army, its soldiers stopped a possible terrorist kidnapping attempt on the 46 KM Ughelli-Patani Road in Delta State.

A statement on its official X handle said that a gunfight broke out between the criminal groups and soldiers during the operation on Sunday.

According to the post, some passengers on a commercial bus who had been kidnapped were saved by the military’ prompt response to a distress call.

According to the report, the military quickly mobilised in response to the distress call and engaged the armed terrorists.

The article claims that after a fierce gunfight, the terrorists were forced to leave their hostages behind and leave the area.

“The saved passengers are now in secure custody and are getting the assistance and attention they require.

It continued, “In the meantime, the troops are currently pursuing the terrorists who are fleeing.”
