Estanguet remarked, “We experienced the games like never before and even witnessed a whale participate in Haiti’s surfing finals. Suddenly, time came to a halt and an entire nation quivered with excitement as we shared this unforgettable experience.”
“It was as if France had rediscovered its identity. In a single day, the entire nation transformed into an Olympic powerhouse,” he stated.
Paris made a commitment of providing “a glimmer of hope” and an enjoyable game experience.
As the games finally commenced, Russia’s conflict in Ukraine situated on Europe’s eastern border, Israel’s battle against Gaza and France’s elevated state of caution regarding security were dominant concerns.
