Panic spreads in Rivers as cultists claim lives of three individuals

Three persons, including a lady, were kidnapped on Monday by suspected cult members of General “Danger” when they attacked the Egbeh village in Ubie kingdom, Ahoda West Local Government Area, Rivers State.

The bodies of the three kidnappees were found later in the day in the Ubie Kingdom neighbourhood of Egbeh and Ebiriba Road, according to local reports.

According to information obtained by our correspondent, the two male victims who were killed got into a fight with a woman known as General “Danger’s mother,” who promised to take care of them before the incident.

There are rumours that General Danger is the local leader of the Iceland cult.

It was also discovered that the woman who was kidnapped with the two men was one of the men’s girlfriends, and the woman who was supposed to be General “Danger’s” mother had left the area.

There was mayhem in the village shortly after the thugs took them away; the aboriginals had set off the alarm, which prompted a search.

“We started searching to know where the boys took the three people,” the source stated. Shots could be heard between Egbeh and Ebiriba Road.

“The bodies of the three people these bad boys killed were visible to the community members when they went there later.”

When contacted, Grace Iringe-Koko, a spokeswoman for the Rivers State Police Command, verified the event and stated that an investigation is being conducted to identify the suspects and bring them to justice.

Superintendent of Police Iringe-Koko said, “Yeah, I am aware of the event; three people were killed, and we are working to make sure that the offenders are apprehended and brought to justice. As we speak, the investigation is still underway.
