Panic in Ogun: Passenger Dies Suddenly in Commercial Bus
A passenger’s sudden collapse and death inside a commercial bus in Ogun causes widespread panic among travelers and onlookers.
An individual named Anuoluwapo Aderemi, aged 29 years old, met with an unfortunate demise during his commute from Papalanto Motor Park located in Ogun State to Ibadan situated in the state of Oyo. He was traveling on a commercial bus at the time of this tragedy.
On a filling station in Itori, an unfortunate incident took place at approximately 7:45 pm on Tuesday, September 3, 2024.
On Wednesday, Odutola Omolola, who is the spokesperson for the Ogun State Police Command, verified that the occurrence had taken place when addressing reporters.
She stated that the Ewekoro Divisional Police Headquarters was notified of the sorrowful occurrence by Akeem Olorode, who happened to be the bus driver.
Omolola explained that the bus had a capacity to seat 18 passengers and left Papalanto with only 15. The destination of the bus was Ibadan, but during a refueling stop at around 7:00 pm in Itori, one traveler’s distress was noticed by other passengers which alerted the driver.

Despite the passengers’ efforts to administer first aid, Aderemi remained unconscious. Unfortunately, their attempts were unsuccessful as he collapsed and passed away shortly afterward inside the bus.
Prompt action from the police detectives led them to arrive at the reported location without delay. They discovered that, along with other passengers, the deceased remained on-site. Subsequent inquiries uncovered Aderemi’s residency in Ibadan.
After his body was taken to Ifo’s state hospital, a doctor confirmed the news of his demise. As for reasons behind this shocking incident, police are currently conducting an investigation.
The tragic event has left many shaken, particularly those who witnessed it. It is a painful reminder of how fragile life can be.
