To further boost productivity and national food security, fertilizers worth N2.6 billion have been distributed to farmers free of charge.

The government has also invested N8.5 billion in the procurement of solar-powered water pumps, pump conversion kits, power tillers, and motorized sprayers, with the aim of supporting farmers and reducing operational costs.

These efforts are all geared towards enhancing agricultural productivity and sustainability. Furthermore, the government has purchased and distributed hundreds of truckloads of grains worth billions of Naira to the people of the state during the Ramadan fast.

The state Commissioner for Information and Culture, Alhaji Yakubu Ahmad-BK, expressed his disappointment with the opposition’s reaction to the palliative looting incident and the resignation of the Chief Imam of the oldest Jumu’at Mosque in Birnin Kebbi, deeming their comments unwarranted and uncalled for.
