- Following an alleged attack by Iran on Pakistani soil, Islamabad has made the decision to recall its ambassador in Tehran. The Foreign Ministry released a statement condemning the incident as a clear violation of Pakistan’s sovereignty, emphasizing that there is no justification for such actions.
- Although Iranian officials have not publicly claimed responsibility for the strikes, the IRGC-owned news outlet Tasnim reported that a combination of drone and missile attacks targeted the bases of a group known as Jaish ul-Adl, which is considered a terrorist organization by Tehran.
- The militant group, which seeks independence for the Pakistani province of Balochistan, was allegedly behind a series of explosions near the Iranian border in the city of Panjgur. The Baloch people have a significant presence in Iran and Pakistan, with diasporas also found in Afghanistan and Oman.

- In response to the incident, Pakistan has not only recalled its own ambassador but also refused to allow the Iranian counterpart to return to Islamabad after his visit to Iran. All high-level bilateral visits have been suspended, and Islamabad holds Tehran fully responsible for the escalation of tensions.
- Pakistan has stated that it reserves the right to respond to the attack and considers Tehran accountable for the consequences. An earlier statement from Pakistan claimed that two children lost their lives in the strikes.
- This diplomatic rift comes just a day after Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) conducted airstrikes in Iraq and Syria, targeting alleged Israeli spies and terrorists from the Islamic State (IS). Iranian Defense Minister Mohammad Reza Ashtian emphasized that there are no limits to the measures Iran will take to safeguard its national security.
