Pakistan has announced that it conducted a series of airstrikes on what it referred to as “terrorist hideouts” in southern Iran.

According to Pakistan, the operation was carried out with precision and resulted in the elimination of several militants. This action by Pakistan comes in response to Iran’s own acknowledgment of conducting raids on a different terrorist group based in Pakistan.

In the midst of this, Iranian officials have reported that explosions in the Sistan-o-Balochistan province have resulted in the deaths of seven individuals who were not Iranian nationals, including three women and four children. Iran has demanded an immediate explanation from Pakistan regarding these airstrikes.

Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry has confirmed the military action, stating that it was a successful mission and emphasizing their commitment to ensuring the safety and security of their people. The ministry referred to the operation as a highly coordinated and specifically targeted intelligence-based operation, codenamed ‘Marg Bar Sarmachar.’

The Foreign Ministry has expressed its concerns to Iran regarding the presence of Pakistani origin terrorists in Iranian territory, emphasizing the need for action to address this issue. Despite these concerns, Iran has not taken any action in response.

Pakistan, however, has reiterated its respect for Iran’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, stating that its recent strikes were solely aimed at preserving its own security. In response to Iran’s claim of responsibility for attacks on Pakistani Balochistan, Pakistan has recalled its ambassador and warned of serious consequences.

These strikes occur amidst heightened tensions in the Middle East, exacerbated by the Hamas-Israel conflict. Iran has also conducted strikes in Iraq and Syria, targeting an alleged Israeli espionage center and ISIS terrorists, respectively, in response to previous attacks in Iran.
