The Oyo State Fire Service Agency’s Director of Operations, Ismail Adeleke, claims that the organisation does not have the necessary infrastructure to run smoothly.
Adeleke took up the complaints with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Ibadan, stating that the agency’s inability to perform its tasks effectively was mostly due to a lack of staff, equipment, and facilities.
Adeleke thanked state Governor Seyi Makinde for his efforts on behalf of the agency, pointing out that the government was unable to meet all of the agency’s needs on its own and asked for the assistance of well-wishers in the state.

“Our facilities are inadequate, and we face issues with them.
We have to give the governor credit for purchasing six firefighting trucks and four utility cars for us during his first term; the Oyo State government is making an effort.
However, as the state’s population grows daily and communities expand, our need must also be growing.
He claimed that “our demand is growing every day for fire stations, fire facilities, and fire equipment.”
