The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in Ibadan Zonal Command has successfully obtained the conviction and punishment of thirty-three cybercriminals.
Various prison sentences were imposed on the guilty.
Judges Ladiran Akintola, Adebukola Olajide, and M.O. Ishola of the Oyo State High Court, Ibadan, sentenced the men to prison, according to a statement sent to Obasanjo News24 on Monday by Dele Oyewale, Head of the EFCC’s Media and Publicity Unit.

Two judges, Justice B.B. Adebowale of the Ogun State High Court in Abeokuta and Justice Uche Agomoh of the Federal High Court in Ibadan, Oyo State, sentenced those involved.
The defendants were charged with individual counts of cybercrimes, according to Obasanjo News24, after their arraignment.
These are the people found guilty: Olamijulo Abiodun Kayode, Abulele Endurance Ogbemudia, Owolade Shamsudeen Ayoola, Odesanya, Lateef Aremu, Fatai Habeeb Mayowa, and Amos Temitope Taiwo. Toriola Yusuf Alabi, Nafiu Wariz Ayomide, Adewale Adeyemi, Michael Adedimeji, Oyedele Isreal Sunday, John Timileyin Olasupo Theophilus Iroboudu Onoapor, Okeke Hycent Obinna, Faruk Azeez Olanrewaju, Olamilekan Samuel Olonitola, Quzeem Opeyemi Tajudeen, and Olanrewaju Muhammad Opeyemi.
The others are: Odunton Durojaiye Oluwaseyi, Opaleye Ramadan Olanrewaju, Tolulope Adedoyin Asekoni, Oyewole Gideon David, Odigwe Victory Okwise, Oladokun Abeeb Olaide, Precious Akinwale Balogun, Adebari Sodiq Wemimo, Ogunleye Ridwan Babatunde, Akinrinola Emmanuel Pelumi, Odigwe Victory Okwise, Seyitan David Ojo, Oyinwola Micheal Olakunle, Adewale Ibrahim Adegoke, Odunton Durojaiye Oluwaseyi, Opaleye Ramadan Olanrewaju, Odunton Durojaiye Oluwaseyi, Opaleye Ramadan Olanrewaju, Tolulope Adedoyin Asekoni, Oyewole Gideon David, and Asogbon Emmanuel Tobiloba.
According to Oyewale’s statement, the 33 prisoners began their journey to the correctional facility when they were apprehended by Commission agents at different points in the states of Oyo and Ogun.
