Youths have been warned by Bishop David Oyedepo to avoid the “Japa” syndrome (leaving Nigeria for greener pastures).
The founder of the Living Faith Church, also known as Winners Chapel, had a Saturday interview with NAN.
To regain the nation’s lost respect, Oyedepo encouraged the government to heavily invest in the people.
The chancellor said that the growth of human capital is still a country’s most valuable and stable resource.
The cleric emphasised that as education is the cornerstone of sustained national growth, greater investment is needed.
Oyedepo says that fewer people will leave Nigeria if there is a good environment for young people.
He maintains that moving is not the best course of action, noting that many young people are stranded abroad and yet are ashamed to return.
“Parents must help their kids reposition themselves.” To rebuild Nigeria, we must all remain.
The preacher said, “Everyone has a role to play in the restoration of his nation.”
