Young people should seek God’s guidance before making significant life decisions, according to David Oyedepo, the presiding bishop of Living Faith Church worldwide.
Bishop Oyedepo emphasized the significance of spiritual guidance in attaining genuine success while speaking to young people at the church’s Annual Youths Alive Convention (AYAC2024).
The bishop advised young people to not test God with their own intentions. He recommended, “Do not make your own plans and ask for confirmation from God. Tempting fate is unwise. As Kaplan once stated, do not request approval of your plan; rather, seek the divine purpose already bestowed upon you.”
“Find a peaceful space to listen for God’s voice by setting yourself apart.”
Instead of packing your bag and asking God whether you should leave or not, refrain from tempting Him. Seek out God’s plan for His blessings are already a part of it.

Oyedepo emphasized that receiving divine communication leads to extraordinary triumph and blessings, abolishes apprehension, and cultivates unwavering assurance. He asserts wavering occurs due to the lack of genuinely hearing from God; once you do hear His voice, your self-assurance is unbreakable thus enabling unstoppable actions.
