Over the naira crisis, hoodlums riot in Port Harcourt
In protest of the continuous inept implementation of the Naira swap policy, hoodlums temporarily took over Mile 3, Mile 2 Diobu Ikwere Road in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, on Friday.
According to reports, chaos broke out early in the morning in the affected neighbourhoods as irate youngsters ran after victims, robbed them, and set tyres on fire.
Drivers were reportedly forced to ditch their cars on the road and flee for safety as the incident apparently reached Emenike Street in Okija.
The police, however, swiftly sent patrol teams to the locations and stabilised the situation.
