The Federal Capital Territory’s (FCT) Police Command reports that it has seized 10 vehicles that it believes were employed in “one chance” activities on the territory.

Mr. Haruna Garba, the FCT’s Commissioner of Police (CP), made this statement during a press conference on Friday in Abuja.

He claimed that the vehicles were seized by the command’s recently established “Anti-One Chance Squad” in an effort to stop the threat of “one chance” activities in the FCT.

The majority of the vehicles seized, in his opinion, had tinted glasses, and during searches, axes, cutlasses, and knives, purportedly for use in carrying out their illicit activities, were found inside the vehicles.
He claimed that an investigation was currently being conducted into the three individuals who were detained in connection with the seizure of the automobiles.
Garba reported that on October 8, agents of the Zuba Division command detained three individuals in connection with an alleged armed robbery and kidnapping.

He said that a distress call concerning some odd and suspicious actions near the Zuba Fruit Market led to the arrest of the accused.

“Police officers from the Zuba Division arrived on the scene quickly and detained a suspect who fled after spotting the officers.

He was pursued hard before being caught by police officers. The defendant admitted to being a member of a 5-man gang while being questioned, and he later helped police officers apprehend two of his gang members.

“The suspects’ homes yielded two AK-47 weapons, two magazines, and 35 rounds of live ammo.
He stated that the suspects were working with the police to apprehend the remaining gang members.

Since the first instance was reported in Gwagwalada on September 21, the CP documented 62 cases of allegedly missing male parts in the FCT.

According to Garba, 51 people have been accused with supplying false information and causing a commotion in relation to the removal of male organs.
In order to accomplish this, he stated, “I want to reiterate my commitment and willingness to always work with FCT residents to defeat crime in the territory in all its forms.” (NAN)
