The appeal filed by the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its governorship candidate, Aisha Dahiru, also known as Binani, against the governor of Adamawa state, Ahmadu Fintiri, is currently awaiting judgment from the Supreme Court.
Binani had previously challenged the victory of Fintiri in the governorship election held last year, but both the tribunal and Court of Appeal had dismissed her petition.
The five-member panel, led by John Okoro, has adjourned the case for judgment after hearing the arguments presented by the parties involved.
Binani’s main argument, presented by her counsel Akin Olujimi, is centered around the legality of the controversial declaration made by the Resident Electoral Commissioner, Hudu Ari. Further details will be provided in due course.
