With the nation’s economy seeing notable growth, the Federal Government has declared that the Excess Crude Account now stands at 473.75 million dollars and the Stabilisation Account at approximately N28.7 billion.

At the 142nd National Economic Council (NEC) meeting in Abuja, which was chaired by Vice President Kashim Shettima, the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun, disclosed this information. He also stated that the country’s natural resources fund was valued at more than N53.89 billion.

This is said in a statement made by Stanley Nkwocha, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media, regarding the NEC meeting.

In the statement, the Vice President was quoted as saying: “A leader who constantly reminds us of the necessity of making the right calls to deliver on our promises to the nation” is in charge of the country’s affairs.

Shettima also outlined President Tinubu’s justification for deserving of the title Jagaban, which the Emir of Borgu bestowed upon him.

“The President embodies the core of the nation’s unifying enthusiasm for service, Jagaban, the front-row commander, thanks to a unique political virtue.

We emphasised that Fitch Ratings has upgraded Nigeria’s credit outlook, attributable to the President’s openness and skillful financial management, which have advanced the country’s economic development.

“I am thrilled to have His Excellency, President Tinubu here today as we get ready for the agenda. He is a visionary extraordinarily and a fountain of ideas who will help us find common ground.

“He is the only one who can do it better than him, and it is this exceptional political quality that has made him the central figure that unites our goals to serve the country. There’s a reason he’s the front-row leader, the Jagaban,” he said.
