The masterminds of the October bank heist at Otukpo, Benue State, that left three people dead have been apprehended by a joint team of the Benue Police and Vigilante organisations.
After four individuals were earlier detained by the military and police in Otukpo, there were now seven suspects under their custody.
Obasanjo News24 reports that in October, four financial institutions in Otukpo were attacked by armed robbers, numbering over fifteen bandits. During the incident, over fifteen people were killed, including three police officers.

Tuesday’s combined security operation in Katsina-Ala, Beñue State, included the Inspector General of Police Response Team, or IGP/RT, and resulted in the arrest of the accused.
When reached, SP Catherine Anene, the spokeswoman for the Benue Police Command, stated that she was unaware of the accused hoodlums’ arrest.
