Otti Hosts NIPSS Participants, Pledges Gender-Friendly Policies

The Governor of Abia State, Alex Otti, has assured that his administration will continue to implement policies that are supportive of gender equality and beneficial to the youth population.

Otti made this commitment during a meeting with members of the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies’ Senior Executive Course 46, 2024, Group 7, led by Brigadier General L.A. Jimoh.

He urged the participants to utilize the knowledge and expertise gained from the course to address the challenges facing the nation effectively.

The governor expressed his optimism that the state would persist in executing policies aimed at transforming the youth and promoting gender equality, particularly through effective budgetary processes.

During the meeting, Hon. Dimeji Belo, a Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun, contributed personally to the National Directorate of Employment while visiting their Umuahia branch in Abia State to support the agency in its endeavors.

Belo emphasized that empowering the youth is a sustainable approach to fostering a thriving business environment and stated that his donation was in line with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s agenda on the digital economy, youth empowerment, and sustainable job creation in Nigeria.

The participants of this year’s Senior Executive Course comprise distinguished individuals from the Armed Forces, the Diplomatic Corps, leaders in the Civil Service, and the most accomplished members of the organized private sector.
