Osun: Tinubu responds to Adeleke’s firing by declaring “light triumphs over darkness”
The tribunal’s recognition of Adegboyega Oyetola as the victor of the July 2022 Osun governorship election is, according to Bola Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, a triumph of light over darkness.
Obasanjonews24 reported on Friday that Governor Ademola Adeleke’s victory at the July 16th, 2022, governorship elections had been thrown out by the Osun State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal in Osogbo.
In response, Tinubu said in a statement signed by his media assistant Tunde Rahman that Oyetola deserved to win.

The former governor of Lagos State characterised Oyetola’s victory over Adeleke as a victory of tenacity and bravery over electoral fraud.
“I wholeheartedly celebrate with Alhaji Adegboyega Oyetola on his well-deserved victory at the election tribunal today,” part of the statement said.
It shows that light has won over darkness and that justice, persistence, and courage have won over electoral fraud and democratic perversion.
