Osun PDP chieftain suspended over anti-party actions

PDP leadership has suspended a prominent Osun chieftain due to involvement in anti-party actions. Read about the circumstances surrounding the decision.

Elder Peter Babalola, a noteworthy member of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun State, has been suspended due to supposed involvement in activities opposing the party.

Seventeen executive members from Ward Seven in Irewole Local Government Area, Babalola’s hometown, signed a letter that formalized the suspension.

The letter states that Babalola’s suspension is a result of his supposed contribution to damaging the party’s reputation and for not being present at any party meetings in the last two years.

Peter Babalola has immediately resigned from the PDP as a response to his suspension.

He was the Chairman of the Governing Council of Osun State College of Education, Ila-Orangun until he resigned.
