Ademola Adeleke, the governor of Osun State, has issued a warning to the IPMAN, Osun State Chapter, asking them to stop hoarding Premium Motor Spirit, or PMS.

The Governor also warned that his administration would never permit the association to put State residents through unfavourable hardship in order to obtain the good. He made the announcement during a courtesy call by the IPMAN leadership.

Adeleke emphasised that IPMAN is crucial to the nation’s economy and that the consequences of whatever happens to fuel will be felt clearly in the economy.

Seyi Makinde, the governor of Oyo State, informed them that he would continue to include them in the creation of policy while also offering to meet with them to help expedite the process of reviving the shuttered Ibadan petroleum depot.

“I pledge to IPMAN that I will consider their numerous demands in order to give them the help they need.

In order to expedite the process of reviving the dead Ibadan depot, he remarked, “I will speak with Governor Seyi Makinde.”

Dr. Bukola Mutiu, the Chairman of IPMAN, earlier pleaded with the State Government to help revive the Ibadan petroleum depot, which served both Osun and Oyo States.

The stress of having to travel to Lagos and other States for petroleum items, insisted Mutiu, will be reduced if the government can repair it.

While urging the government to support the organisation by giving funds to help them deregulate the price of the items, the chairman also asked for support in the areas of reliable power generation and the availability of more buses for them to ease transportation and member monitoring.

Mutiu promised that they were prepared to support the current administration in the timely payment of taxes and levies, but he wanted the government to provide them with a harmonised bill.
