Adewale Egbedun, the Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, expressed his condolences to Sanjo Adedoyin, the Majority Leader of the Oyo State House of Assembly, at the passing of his son Faith Adedoyin.
The Speaker expressed astonishment at the news and hoped that God would give the family the strength to deal with the loss in a statement that was signed by Olamide Tiamiyu, Egbedun’s media assistant.
“I was shocked to learn about Faith Adedoyin’s tragic demise. He was a 500-level accounting student at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) and the son of the majority leader of the Oyo State Assembly.
“I express my condolences to Hon. Sanjo Adedoyin and his entire family on behalf of myself, my family, and the entire Osun State 8th House of Assembly. You will have the strength to endure this unrecoverable loss thanks to the Lord. Thank you for your time, he said.
According to information obtained by OBASANJO NEWS24, Adedoyin’s son Faith was one of the LAUTECH students from Ogbomoso, Oyo State who died in a car accident in Osun on Wednesday night.
A white commercial Mazda bus was involved in an accident on the Osogbo-Ilobu route, according to a statement issued by the Federal route Safety Commission, FRSC,’s Osun Sector Command.
In addition to the vehicle’s driver and two pupils—a male and a female—who were killed in the collision, five other students were pulled to safety with critical injuries.
