For alleged anti-party activities, the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Osun State removed 84 of its members.
This was announced by the party on Wednesday in a statement that was signed by Tajudeen Lawal, its state chairman.
It was said that the decision was made following the formation of a Disciplinary Committee by the State Executive Committee to look into the claims made against some members.
Rasak Salinsile, a former vice chairman of the Osun APC and the head of a party group loyal to Rauf Aregbesola, a former governor and interior minister of Osun State, is at the top of the list of expelled party members.
The expelled party members included Biyi Odunlade, a commissioner in Governor Ademola Adeleke’s administration.
This disciplinary action was taken in response to charges of misconduct and acts that embarrassed and damaged the party’s reputation, the statement claims.
“The Disciplinary Committee conducted an exhaustive and objective investigation into the claims, and the State Executive Committee carefully considered the results.
“The State Executive Committee has taken the tough but necessary action of removing the following members after carefully evaluating the evidence and taking into account the committee’s recommendations:

Adefioye Adegboyega and Oyewole Rafiu, both of Ife Ooye LCDA, Adeyeye Yinusa O. – Oriade LG, Sangolade Olawale – Ife East Area Office, Adekunle Toyin Asabi – Ife East Area Office, Oriade LG – Mathew Olamuyiwa Samuel Oriade South LCDA, Samson Fakinyede Oladipo LCDA for Oriade South, Oyediran Mikail Oluseyi Oyinloye, Dare Adarayaki, Lamidi Oyeyemi, and Ogundele Ogunsanmi are the members of the Obokun LG. Ismail Elewedi represents Ejigbo Central LCDA. Other members are Yekeen Adewale, Oyebisi Ejigbo South LCDA, Muraina Atanda Adeleke, Osogbo West LCDA, Comrade Biyi Odunlade, Ife Central LGA, and Hon.
