In response to the operational and logistical requirements of security agencies, Adeleke gave a committee consisting of five members instructions to devise the procedures for the fund’s launch.

According to him, the fund will work closely with corporate entities, business communities, industrialists, and important stakeholders under a public-private partnership model.

The governor said the group will include representatives of the security services with the aim of presenting answers to security concerns facing the state in a statement signed by Mallam Olawale Rasheed, his spokesman.

Adeleke mentioned that he recently spoke with the Inspector General of Police in Abuja on cooperative engagement, while praising security personnel for their meticulous efforts to protect people and property in the state.

Adeleke asserts: “We have to increase the protection of people and property. We cannot accomplish this goal unless our security services are adequately bolstered and equipped. In addition to the state’s ongoing restoration and recovery efforts, our administration is dedicated to achieving a fully secured state.

However, our security agencies have very high operational and logistical needs. Therefore, a PPP agreement through a State Security Trust Fund is the optimal course of action. We want the commercial sector to support us. The procedures for putting this policy into effect will soon be announced by the implementation committee.
