Osimhen will continue at Napoli for the upcoming season, according to Garcia

The head coach of Napoli, Rudi Garcia, has repeated his expectation for Victor Osimhen to stay with the team.

After an outstanding season with the Partenopei the previous year, Osimhen has drawn interest from major European clubs.

Garcia is optimistic that the Nigerian attacker will be at the club for the upcoming season since the forward’s high asking price has scared off potential bidders.

The 24-year-old will start preseason practise again on Tuesday (today), the gaffer suggested.

At a news conference, Garcia stated, “He is under contract; tomorrow [today, Tuesday], he will arrive with the others.”

In 32 league games for the Serie A champions last year, Osimhen scored 26 goals.
