Napoli Football Club has officially announced the contract extension of Nigerian striker, Victor Osimhen.
The new agreement will keep Osimhen at the club until 2026. The club shared the news on their social media platforms, accompanied by a photo of Osimhen signing the contract alongside club owner Aurelio De Laurentiis.
While the specific details of the contract have not been disclosed, it is reported that a release clause worth between 120 million and 130 million euros has been included to protect Napoli from losing their star player to Premier League clubs.
Osimhen’s previous contract was set to expire in June 2025, and his renewal has been a topic of discussion in Italy since Napoli’s triumph in the league last season.
Osimhen has been a key player for Napoli, scoring 67 goals in 118 appearances since joining the club from Lille in 2020. Despite their recent setbacks in Serie A and the Italian Cup, Napoli remains determined to compete at the highest level with Osimhen as part of their squad.
