Victor Osimhen finally selects his dream club, with Chelsea and Arsenal receiving the latest transfer updates. Find out where he’s heading next.

It seems that Victor Osimhen will reject Chelsea and Arsenal’s proposals to pursue a “dream” move to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).

It is widely speculated that the forward, aged 25 and currently playing for Napoli, will leave during this summer’s transfer window. There are rumors connecting him to a move to the Premier League.

Approaching the final two years of his contract with Napoli, Osimhen recorded 17 goals in 32 appearances during last season.

It is uncertain whether Chelsea or Arsenal will pay the £100 million release clause in his current contract before the transfer window shuts, even though it’s included.

Sky Sports Germany reports that PSG’s attempt to sign Osimhen is dependent on the sale of one of their key forwards.

Goncalo Ramos from Portugal and Randal Kolo Muani from France are the top contenders to be released due to their failure in acquiring a consistent starting spot.

Furthermore, there are reports that Osimhen is eager to sign with PSG and will patiently await the end of the transfer window to finalize his move. However, this hinges on whether or not the French club can offload one of their current forwards to make room for him in their squad.

In contrast, Chelsea is seeking to separate from Romelu Lukaku and had considered a potential offer of Osimhen plus additional compensation during the summer.

During the 2023/24 season, Lukaku scored a total of 21 goals in his 47 appearances. It’s worth noting that he had previously worked with Antonio Conte at Inter Milan and spent last season on loan at Roma.

Additionally, Osimhen’s name has surfaced as a potential target for Arsenal due to manager Mikel Arteta’s desire to strengthen the team’s offensive capabilities.

Nonetheless, the Gunners’ strategies may require reconsideration in light of Kai Havertz’s remarkable showing during their recent win against Wolves. Havertz managed to score a goal and provide an assist during that match.

Amidst ongoing speculation, John Obi Mikel, a former Chelsea midfielder has expressed his opinion on the potential summer destination for Osimhen.

In his conversation with beIN SPORT, Obi Mikel implied that both the player and club have a shared interest as he confirmed, “The club is keen on having him and likewise, he desires to join.”
